## One sentence
Blob is an iPhone screen-time app that asks you to solve a math problem before accessing selected distracting apps.

## One paragraph
Blob adds a deliberate pause to the habit of opening distracting apps. Users choose which iPhone apps to protect, then solve a math challenge to earn temporary access or choose to walk away. Its mascot accompanies the interaction, and activity tracking records interceptions, solved gates, and walk-aways. Blob requires iOS 18 or later and a subscription to use its features.

## Full description
Picking up a phone to check one thing can turn into opening a distracting app out of habit. Blob is designed to interrupt that moment with a math challenge before access to selected apps.

Users choose the apps they want to protect. When they encounter a gate, they can solve the problem for a short unlock pass or choose to walk away. Challenge options range from arithmetic to algebra and derivatives. Hard Hours make access more demanding during a chosen time window.

Blob’s animated mascot accompanies the experience. The app tracks interceptions, solved gates, walk-aways, and streaks. Time avoided is an estimate based on walk-aways and an assumed session length, not a direct measurement of time a person would otherwise have spent scrolling.

Blob: Screen Time Control is available for iPhone running iOS 18 or later. It is free to download; its features require a subscription. Current US App Store subscription listings and offer details are below.
